Cruiz Turns One...

Wow! That year flew by! We can't believe that our little man is already one. We didn't have a big party for him since we're in Oklahoma, but we plan on having one for him when we go home to visit. So we spent the day having fun and celebrated when Cory got home from school and work. He played with his balloons, opened presents, and smashed his cake. He was really funny though because he didn't want to eat it. We made him try it and he shuddered in disgust. Ha Ha Either he's like his dad and doesn't like cake or I made a really gross cake. I'm choosing to believe that he hates cake. :) Anywho...here's a run down of Cruiz's highlights throughout the year.

-He was born with black hair that had blonde highlights in it.

-Grandma Shelly and I gave him his first bath. He HATED to be naked...oh how things have changed!

-His first BIG smiles came when he was a couple weeks old.

-He was around two months old when he started to babble.

-He discovered his hands and feet at 1 month. (Still likes to stare at his hand while drinking his bottle, makes me smile every time)

-He rolled over at 2 months.

-First word was Dada.

-Crawled at 7 months.

-Walked at 10 months and hasn't slowed down since.

-His Aunt Krystle taught him to "scare" people, which is really cute until his starts trying to scare people in sacrament meeting. He puts his hands in front of him and makes a "scary" noise.

-He has a stuffed animal cow that he has a love hate relationship with. He gets excited when he finds it but then precedes to throw it and pick on it until he's bored.

-The only animals noise he will make is "Moo"

-He's obsessed with our dog Jack and stands at the window and says "Gack"

-He LOVES to sing! He sings in the car, at church, at home, and especially with his dad.

-He is beyond a daddy's boy & cries every time Cory leaves. Sometimes he just sits by the door and waits for him to come back.

-He tries to rope the little dummy his dad has in the living room.

-Crawls on and off of the couch. I hate it! It gives me a heart attack how easy it is and I catch him trying to run across it.

-He pretty much eats anything, but doesn't love strawberries.

-He has 6 teeth!

-Nicknames are Cruizer Bruizer, Cruiz Man, Cruizin, Cruizy, Monster, San One Son (Cory's, weird I know)

We are so thankful to be his parents. He is such a fun and busy little boy that is very sweet. We watch him run around and he makes us laugh each and everyday. I don't know how we got so lucky but we're sure glad we did. HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY CRUIZ MAN! We love ya!
