EaStEr 2o12....

This year we spent our Easter weekend in Grace with my side of the family. It was so fun to have Easter breakfast, hide eggs with Cor, & get to watch Pres hunt for the eggs & ride her bike.
Pres was SO excited about her Easter bike

MoM.....

The reason for this post is because I have been so blessed to have such a wonderful mom!
I recently had an outpatient surgery and even though I'm 22 years old & married I wanted my mom to be there with me. Not only was she more than happy to be there, but she took off work and showed up with food to feed us for days, a new comfy outfit, & insisted that we take her vehicle to Payson for the surgery.(She didn't win that battle) Ha Ha
She stayed for a couple days just to make sure that I was feeling well which was really nice so that Cory didn't feel so bad when he had to go to class. It was so wonderful to have her here.
I love my mom more than words can say. She is such a loving & beautiful woman. I hope an pray that I can be half the mom she is & has been to me. I love you mom! <3

Just A Thought...

So I've had something on my mind lately & I hesitate to blog about it, but that's what a blog is for...right?!
So I came across this quote on Pinterest and it hit a nerve. Thinking of my past I have a lot of bitter-sweet memories. When I graduated high school I was pretty sure I had life figured out, down to what degree I was going to school for, who my friends were, & who I was going to marry. Boy, was I wrong?!?!

Reality Is:
* It's almost my 23rd birthday & I haven't gotten my degree yet :]
* I married a wonderful man that I didn't even know was even an option <3
* I can literally count my good friends on one hand...

The 3 & a half years after I graduated & before I got married were VERY defining years!

-I sent my high school boyfriend of 2 years on an LDS mission.
-I lived with friends & also lost those friends.
-I had my first "college" relationship which ended in heart break.
-I moved in with Angie, Ryann, & Carlie.
-I got my patriarchal blessing.
-Met my future husband & made one of the hardest/best decisions of my life to marry him.

I'm sharing these things not so that I can have a pity party or stay stuck in the past, but just to share how thankful  I am for those years.
My Friends: Those years taught me that I am a good friend & I deserve friends that are as good of friends as I try to be to them. Shout out to Dee & Allie! Love you gals! & Lately I am especially thankful for my workout buddy Kady. She really has been such a good friend. She always lets me cry on her shoulder & even sends me flowers on a bad day. :]
My Relationships: I learned that you can love someone with all of your heart & not like them & how they treat you at the same time. I know that sounds crazy but if you've ever been in a relationship like that you know exactly what I'm talking about. I also learned that the right decision is not always the easy one, but if you go to the Lord with your questions & concerns he will always help you & give you the strength to get through any trial.
Ryann & Carlie: I can barely put into words how much I love these two little girls. It was such a gift to be able to live with them. When I moved into their home I was kind of in a sad place. But those little girls carried such a sweet spirit with them that I spent every minute I could with them. They saved my life. They will always  have such a special place in my heart. <3
Patriarchal Blessing: I was lucky enough to share this day with my parents. It was such a spiritual experience & the support they gave me will never be forgotten. I love my wonderful parents so much!
Cory: He came in to my life at the most unexpected time. I had just ended my college relationship & was waiting to see if me & my high school boyfriend still wanted to date after he got home off his mission. When Cory called & asked me out on a date I was shocked. I was finally in a really happy place in my life & thought that one date couldn't hurt. I'm glad that I said yes because he has made me the happiest girl ever since...

I know that God blessed my broken road that lead me right to where I am today. I have a wonderful life. My husband is amazing & I am so thankful for my family & my amazing in-laws. I have a select few friends that I can count on and I know now that quality is much better than quantity.

My past was painful, but I wouldn't change a thing because it brought me to where I am today.

I Love This Man....

Sweetest In-Laws Ever....

2 Years Ago Today....

Two years ago today my sweetheart proposed to me at the temple. It was one of the best days of my life. I never thought that I would find such a wonderful man to be sealed to for time and all eternity. It was very easy to get wrapped up in all of the excitement of the ring and announcing our engagement, but when I step back I realize that I was and am beyond blessed. When I was in young women's I wrote a list of all of the qualities I wanted in my future husband and when I got engaged my young women's leader mailed me the list. I thought that was so cool because it was from years and years ago. The best part of all is that when I went through my list I could easily check off all of the qualities that my Cory has. I'm thankful for the understanding of the gospel and I'm thankful for the temple. There are not enough words to express the wonderful feelings I was able to experience by being sealed to my best friend. I love the promises that our Heavenly Father makes to us by being sealed and by keeping our covenants.

So for all of you ladies out there that are still looking for that special someone...I promise that you really can live your fairy tale. After all, I found the most handsome prince and he took me to a castle and promised me forever!  Life just doesn't get better than this.

I love you Cory Anderson and I look forward to eternity with you! <3

Birthdays....

It's not secret that I LOVE birthdays! Not only my own but I love celebrating others birthdays! I just think it's so cool to have a holiday just for yourself. Obviously other people share your birthday, but I love that fact that you can be surrounded by friends and family to celebrate your special day!

Recently we were able to go to our niece Presleigh's 3rd birthday and it was so fun to watch how excited she was about her presents, cake, and pinata! :) We're not able to make it to all of our nieces and nephews birthday's because between both of our families me and Cory have 28 all together. We love each and every one of them so much and are so grateful to have such fun little blessings in our lives! They really keep things interesting!

So I guess what my intention for this post was to take the time to tell all of our nieces and nephews and the rest of our family members HAPPY BIRTHDAY! We love all of you!

Here's a few pictures from Presleigh's special day....

Tee & Daysha watching her open her presents...

Presleigh giving Jaxxie a hug because she loved her present....

I love this picture because Jessie & Myles have Presleigh read the cards on the presents and makes sure she says thank you to each person after she opens a present. Look at her being such a good little listener......

Tee loving on our little cousin Jaxxie, she just turned 3 in December also....

I can't believe how big she's gotten .....

She got a big barn from her mom & dad. It use to be Myles and Tee's when they were little, so precious.....

Her "Princess Piggy" cake....

Pinata time.....

Grabbing all the candy with her cousin Ira & Jaxxie

She was in love with this chalk board she got from her Grandpa  Ross & Grandma Ranae

I had to add this one because Presleigh's little cousin Harley is such a  little doll...

Can I open the present yet?! Ha ha

Christmas

This year we spent our Christmas break in Grace with my side of our family. We couldn't have asked for a better Christmas! We spent Christmas Eve with my aunts, uncles, cousins, & grandparents from my moms side of the family. We have dinner, play games, and then share "The White Envelope".

We started this tradition after my brother Tee got lost on the mountain snow machining one year and we were very blessed to find him and his friend still alive after the coldest night of the year! We choose a family in need and each one of our families donates money and then we secretly give them the donations. It helps us to remember the true meaning of Christmas and what a blessing it is to celebrate the birth of Christ. It has become one of my favorite traditions.

On Christmas day Cory, I, mom, & dad woke up and exchanged our Christmas presents and then Christmas night Tee, Daysha, Myles, Jessie, & Presleigh come over for dinner and presents. Dad & Mom surprised us this year with making prime rib for dinner & it was delicious. We had such a great weekend and feel so blessed to have such amazing families! Although we missed seeing the Anderson side of the family we look forward to visiting Montana soon! Happy New Years!
