bLeSsInG DaY...

On July 7, 2013 we blessed Cruiz at our ward in Dillon. It was a wonderful day! We had a ton of our friends and family come to share this special day with us. Cory blessed Cruiz and it was such an amazing blessing. My heart just swelled with love for Cruiz and Cory and all of the support from our loved ones. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful husband who is worthy to give our son his blessing. Cruiz has so many wonderful people to look up to as he grows up. We are beyond blessed. Thank you to all of our loved one's for making the day so awesome!

Dear Baby

Today is August 29, 2012 and me and your daddy just found out that we're expecting your arrival. When I found out I was pregnant I was home with the puppy (Copper) and your dad was at work. When I first read the test I couldn't believe it, it was positive! We had been trying for awhile and prayed and prayed for you. The next thing I did was jump in the car with Copper to go and get more tests before I got too excited. We got two more tests and they were positive too! I just started crying and got on my knees to thank our Heavenly Father. Your daddy & I strongly believe that you're aunt Jodi was with you while we waited for you to come to us! And I know that she is SO happy & excited for us to be a forever family. I got to tell your dad when he got home from work & he was so happy. He walked around the rest of the night calling himself a dad. I loved it! Since we were so excited we couldn't hold it in! We called basically everyone single person in our immediate family to share the news. You're whole family is SO SO happy & excited to meet you. Baby, we love you so very much!

Today is April 7, 2013 and we have 25 days until your due date. A lot has happened since the last time I wrote. First of all we found out that you are a little boy. We found out on December 13, 2012, which happens to be your aunt Jodi's birthday! We felt her love and excitement from above as me and your dad, and Grandma Janet found out that you will be the first little boy to carry on the Anderson name. We can't wait to meet you! We have went through many many names for you. We want you to have a name that you can always be proud of. The name we've decided on is Cody Cruiz Anderson. We're naming you after your uncle Cody because we love him very much and think that he is and will be a great role model for you. I want you to know how much we love you son. You're dad is getting very anxious to hold you in his arms, to teach you things, take you places, and for you two to become very close. We know that you have a bright future ahead. We thank our Heavenly Father daily for the opportunity to be parents to one of His children. We promise you and Him that we will do our best to raise you so that you can return to your Father in Heaven and be with your eternal family for all eternity. And last but not least... Cruiz, I want you to know that I love you. I hope that you know that your mom will always be here for you. Even when you outgrow me, I will always be here to hold you no matter how old you may be. You're going to be a great man Cruiz. You are surrounded by wonderful men in your life and lots of family that love you already. We'll be seeing you soon. We love you Cruiz!

Today is May 18, 2013 and you are nearly 3 weeks old. We couldn't be any happier to have you here happy and healthy. Especially because things were a little bit scary for awhile. Around midnight on April 29th I started having a bad pain in the middle of my back. I had already had this pain a couple of weeks earlier but chalked it up to kidney stones or something similar. This time I just didn't "feel right". I called my doctor and he told me he wanted me to come in immediately. We had an hour drive to Butte so we took off right then. When we got there they said I was having regular contractions but I wasn't dilated at all. So the plan was to control my pain and then they would send me home. Before they sent me home they wanted to do a full ultrasound just to check on you. When she was doing the ultrasound she didn't say a word the entire time. Then finally I saw her turn to my nurse and mouth, "He isn't moving". My heart sunk. I looked over at your daddy and I could tell he felt the same way. I asked if you still had a heartbeat and she hesitated but said yes. Right before she left my nurse asked her rating and she said a 2 out of 8. Your dad asked what that meant and they told us that was a rating for your quality of life. Me and your dad had tears in our eyes and asked what we should expect next. They said they would call my doctor to talk to us about options. At that moment all I wanted was for you to be out and in our arms. It felt like an eternity for the doctor to show up. When he got there he said that we needed to get you out because there was hardly an amniotic fluid left, your heartbeat was low and there was no movement. He gave us the option of inducing labor or having an emergency c-section. I knew I wanted a c-section the moment he said it. I would have done anything to have you out that second, as long as I knew you would be safe. After we made the decision, we were in surgery and had you within the next hour! Your daddy was so nervous. He quickly gave me a blessing in between signing waivers and being hooked up to IV's then he changed into his scrubs and then they wheeled me off. We barely had time to call our families. I thought I would be scared but surprisingly I wasn't. I just felt an urgency to make sure you were safe and sound. When your daddy came in I was already numb and ready to meet you. It was only a few minutes and you were here! When we heard you cry for the first time we both cried. It was the most wonderful feeling to know you were OK. When I first saw you my heart swelled with SO much love for you and your dad. We are absolutely in love with you Cruiz. You are such a handsome little guy and you look a lot like your dad. We are so thankful that our Heavenly Father sent you to us. We can't wait to watch you grow and learn. You are so loved by us and our entire family. We can't wait to see what the future holds for you. <3

LittLe MaN'S RoOm

Now that we only have a few weeks left until our due date we're starting to put the finishing touches on our little man's room. There are a few things that I would still like to do to but I figured it was done enough to share.

When we were trying to decide on the theme of his room all I knew is that I didn't want it to be a "baby" room. I really wanted it to be a little boys room that he wouldn't grow out of too fast.
So when Cory and his mom came home with this picture, it kind of became the inspiration of the whole room.
I thought it was SO sweet that when Cory saw this picture he just HAD to buy it for the baby's room!
The view from the doorway.

View from the other angle.

We found this dresser for $20 dollars at the antique store in town and Cory & his mom refinished it for me! I am absolutely in love with it!

A HUGE thank you to Cory's sister Sheri for giving us this amazing crib!

I feel like me and the little man will spend many sleepless nights in this chair :]

I had to get a good picture of the curtains! My mom made these out of dark brown burlap. I LOVE them!

Just a few of the little details. I love this quote SO much! His Grandma Shelly had it made for me to put in his room. These are his first pair of boots! His Grandma Janet bought them for him and Cory pulled them out and is just waiting for the day he can wear them!
Like I said before...it's not completely finished but it's pretty close! We are getting so anxious to show him his room. I couldn't have done it without a ton of help from Cory, Janet, and my mom!
Thanks everyone!

ANdeRson UpDatE...

I feel like I haven't blogged in ages. We've been pretty busy with getting things ready to meet our little man! First of all we got a "Family" vehicle! Turns out the trusty old Malibu might not cut it with a baby on board, so we got a 2013 Jeep Compass! It was really hard for me to stop driving the Malibu. That car has been awesome & kind of became a part of me. But it's nice knowing that I have a reliable car for me and the baby to travel in.
Here's a picture of what it looks like....

We've also been getting the little man's room ready! We've had SO much help from both of our mom's. They've helped refinish furniture and make bumper pads, quilts, and curtains. Hopefully we'll have it done soon! I'll post pictures as soon as we do.

We are on our final countdown now!!! We are both getting SO SO excited. I can't believe we're this close. We will keep everyone posted! :]

UpDaTe On OuR Little MaN.....

How far along?  28 Weeks!
Maternity clothes? O Yes! What would I do without them?!?!
Stretch marks? Nope.
Best moment this week: Cory felt the little man have hiccups. So sweet!
Miss Anything? I miss being able to comfortably paint my toenails! Ha
Movement: Yep! He sleeps most of the day but when he's awake, he's busy!
Food cravings: Mostly vegetables. I crave the CRUNCH more than the actual taste.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope.
Gender: Boy!
Labor Signs: Not really,  but I can feel that my hips are starting to move apart.
Belly Button in or out? In.
Wedding rings on or off? Off. I've become allergic to it so I prefer not to wear it most the time.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Mostly happy. You might have to ask Cor though. :]
Looking forward to: Finishing his room!

UpDaTe.....

Wow am I behind! We moved to a different house and haven't had internet for awhile so I haven't been able to blog. So I'll do a quick update about what we've been up to the last couple months!

1. We found out on December 13th that we're having a BOY! When she told us we couldn't believe it! I couldn't help but crying! Our little man will be the first baby to carry on the Anderson name. We so feel so blessed and can't wait to meet our little man!

2. We spent at home in Montana this year. It was a wonderful Christmas! A few days after Christmas we all headed down to Salt Lake to see Jodi's kids and the rest of our family that lives down there. We almost had the entire family together, which is a HUGE deal with how big our family is.

3. Cory is back in school and doing awesome & I'm still at the hospital working in Patient Financial Services.  We love that our home is closer to Cory's parents and out of town. Copper especially loves it! She runs and plays all day!

I have a little less than a 3 months left until my due date & I am beginning to get anxious. Cory, my mom, and mother in-law have been amazing in helping me get things done before our little guy arrives! Hopefully we'll finish up his room soon and I can share pictures! We love him so much already!

FaLL HoLiDaYs....

I know, I know. I am completely late on this post. I have been meaning to blog about Halloween & Thanksgiving but things have been a little crazy around here.

HALLOWEEN:
This year we helped my mother in law set up for the ward Trunk or Treat. It was fun getting to see our cute little nieces dress up, not to mention our Copper dog. We dressed her up as a witch. :]

Jade was NOT thrilled to be there. But still the cutest lady bug EVER!

McKayle & Savanna were beautiful fairy's.

I love these little girls SO SO much!

THANKSGIVING:

This year we went home to my parents house to spend the holiday. We left Wednesday after I got off work and got there late. Thanksgiving was really nice. My whole family was there & my cousins Colby & Karson came & Colby's wife Alyssa.

The day after Thanksgiving me and Cory decided to go to Preston to see my Grandma & Grandpa Robinson's to visit & then slowly headed to Logan. (Hoping we would miss all the crazy shoppers) We got there and ate at the Olive Garden. And then we got a lot of our shopping done and we got to see a couple of our good friends. I was so excited to see Kady even though it was just for a second. After that we headed over to Auston & Chelsey's cute house and visited. Then we headed home.

The rest of the weekend was pretty uneventful. It was really nice to go home and see my family since it's been awhile.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

For those of you that don't know, we're moving....again. This is the 4th time in 2 1/2 years of marriage. Ha We're not moving far though. Cody & Brittanee moved to Blackfoot, ID for work. So me and Cory are going to be moving into the house they lived in. It will be pretty nice to have more space with the baby coming.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST....we get to find out if our little peanut is going to be a BOY or GIRL soon! We find out on December 13th. We can't wait! <3
